Do you have a print for that reamer?
There is a lot to learn about chamber prints. We recommend the post on this blog.
We are asked for reamer prints on a daily basis. We have never provided them as they do not represent a specific tool. Prints are representative of what you would receive. Reamer maker like all machinists use tolerances when building tools. In short, there are safe limits that SAAMI and CIP established long ago. In the case of registered designs these agencies provide prints to the industry.
Reamer makes use these prints along with the prints for ammunition (and tolerances) to design the chamber reamers. The use the tolerances to allow the machinists who build the tools to produce accurate tools within safe limits. If every tool had to be perfect you would need the budget of NASA to build one gun.
We now offer a service that provides you with the actual dimensions of the reamer you will receive from us, tracked by serial #. So if you feel you need to know the exact neck diameter or the exact free bore. This service is for you! We call it Blueprinted Reamers, click here to learn more.
